E-Z LOK Thread Repair Kit for Metal - Screw Locking - 5/16-18 x 1/2-13

Solid wall threaded inserts repair and reinforce threaded holes in soft metals, like aluminum, cast iron or magnesium. Designed with standard external threads, these inserts install without the need for a special tap or installation tool. Simply drill out the damaged threads, re-tap the hole, and thread in the insert like an ordinary fastener. Preapplied adhesive on the internal threads provides a screw locking feature that keeps fasteners from backing out.
