E-Z LOK Threaded Insert for Metal - Heavy Wall - Carbon Steel

Solid wall threaded inserts repair and reinforce threaded holes in soft metals, like aluminum, cast iron or magnesium. Designed with standard external threads, these inserts install without the need for a special tap or installation tool. Simply drill out the damaged threads, re-tap the hole, and thread in the insert like an ordinary fastener. Preapplied adhesive on the external threads activates upon installation and secures the insert in the hole. Heavy Wall design is ideal for reducing the size of tapped holes, typically after previous drilling/re-tapping operations.
