Unlike most common Forstner bit designs, these bits have removable conical centering points that can be resharpened or replaced when they dull. A punch tool is included for tip removal. You also get a 4mm brad-point centering bit that can take the place of the centering points when drilling angled holes, where starting the hole accurately is more difficult. The centering bit is also helpful when drilling all the way through material, to ensure that the bits run true and leave a tearout-free exit hole.
