Every woodworking bench needs at least one vise, plenty of benchtop to work comfortably on and enough mass to dampen vibration and stay firmly planted. The Diamond 1800 Workbench meets all those criteria to help you do your best work—regardless of what you build or the tools you use. It comes with two vises that feature stout housings, precision lead screws and double steel rods to keep their long faces moving smoothly and parallel to the benchtop. Even better, you can choose among four positions for mounting them, based on whether you’re right- or left-handed or if you'd prefer a vise on both ends. Predrilled mounting holes make the vises as easy to relocate as unscrewing their hardware. Its full-length tool tray gives you a spot to stage tools where they're visible but out of the way, and the included shelf offers even more storage space for lumber, supplies or portable power tools. Mount the lower rails low or high on the legs for even more customized shelf storage.
