Our Low-Profile Knobs are ideal for building jigs that require clearance for moving parts, or for shop-made hand tools where you want minimal weight and bulk. They make good knobs for light-duty fences on things like drilling templates and bevel gauges. They can often replace those pesky wingnuts that tend to cut into your fingers. Note however, that the threads are polymer. You can even use them in a T-track table to keep odd-shaped workpieces from sliding around during sanding or routing—the round shape of the knob makes good contact, no matter the angle. Even with thin 1/2'' stock, they won't protrude above the work surface, and the soft rubber surround grips without marring.
Features:
Projects only 5/16'' from surface—ideal for tight applications where taller knobs won't work
Rubber overmold with gear shape makes knob easy to grip
