Sapele by the Piece
Sapele's heartwood ranges from a deep gold to a rich reddish brown, and the color tends to darken over time. Quartersawn sections frequently showcase a striking ribbon pattern. The grain is interlocked, and often wavy, with a fine texture and nice luster. Sometimes referred to as ''African Mahogany,'' it is not technically a mahogany, but is distantly related. These S4S boards are planed to thickness, ripped to width, and cut to length.
