Our Dust Right Compact Ceiling Air Filtration Unit is designed to improve shop air quality in low-height basement shops, since it fits neatly between floor joists spaced 16'' on-center. Installation brackets can be mounted at four different heights on the sides of the unit to tuck it up between 2x6, 2x8, 2x10 or 2x12 joists. Or if overhead clearance is less of a concern, you can also hang the unit from a finished ceiling with the included chain hardware. It draws air through a foam pre-filter, pleated filter and a three-pocket filter to trap dust and contaminants down to 1 micron. You can set its 90-watt, 110-volt motor to three air-circulation speeds—250, 350 or 500 CFM—using either the onboard touch control panel or a wireless remote. For added convenience, turn on two integrated LED lights to illuminate the area below with 644 lumens of bright light. A programmable timer enables two-, four- and eight-hour run times. When the filters get dirty, all three are easy to replace, thanks to quick-release magnetic filter locks. Everything required for installation—joist hanger brackets, eyebolts, nuts, screw hooks and hang chains—comes in the included hardware pack. Replacements for the foam Pre-Filter and Pleated Filter (#78999) and the Inner Pocket Filter (#78773) are available from Rockler. We recommend changing them every 3 to 6 months, depending on usage, for best efficiency.
