Its true helical cutterhead uses 30 four-sided carbide inserts arranged in a spiral pattern to reduce tearout, noise and vibration while extending usable cutting life through insert rotation. The 2HP, 120V motor drives the cutterhead at 9,500 RPM, while a 24.6 FPM feed rate planes material rapidly. Folding infeed and outfeed tables, repeatable thickness adjustment, dual-size dust collection and vertical storage capability make the planer practical for smaller shops and jobsites.
