With this 6'' x 89'' Oscillating Belt Sander at the ready, you'll make quick work of sanding flat, angled or curved edges on workpieces large or small. Driven by a powerful 1.75HP motor, the abrasive belt both spins and oscillates, which speeds material removal and reduces the incidence of scratch marks on workpieces. The oscillating action also reduces heat build-up and belt clogging to extend its life. The sander's long cast iron front table is protected with Jet Black Performance Coating to resist corrosion, reduce workpiece friction and eliminate the need for polishing or waxing. The table moves up or down with a handwheel so you can focus the sanding action where you wish on the belt, and an adjustable fence and miter gauge further improve workpiece control when using the table. An outer drum support table on one end features the protective coating and will be useful for sanding concave curves. The machine's sanding head tilts up to 90° to sand a wide range of bevel angles. When it comes time to replace the belt, a quick-release lever and tracking control dial simplify this process.
