Jet's 2244 Oscillating Drum Sander features an exclusive oscillating head that produces smooth, flat sanded surfaces while also minimizing the potential for burning and maximizing abrasive life. When in the oscillating mode, the sanding drum oscillates 3/4'' from left to right which lowers heat build-up on the sanding belt, reducing loading and burning. Convenience features include an innovative tool-less parallelism system for easy adjustments, and a worktable that is easily positioned by a turn of the parallelism dial. The Sandsmart™ conveyer system continuously monitors the load on the drum motor to prevent an overload situation. In addition, the sander features a dust hood with an integrated channel that mirrors the shape of the drum, optimizing dust collection performance.
