What sets the M-Power Trammel Set apart from the rest is its stable, flat-lying design. You can scribe part of a circle, take both hands off of the trammels to walk to the other side of your bench, and complete the circle on the other side with perfect accuracy. There is no balancing act required, and no tipping or angling, which can result in inaccuracies. Just fasten the two scribe heads onto a standard ruler (sold separately) or any length of steel from 6'' to 6' in length. Insert the pencil or the cutting blade and strike that arc. Alternatively, you can use the heads with a combination square to create a mortise gauge or panel gauge for scribing straight or parallel lines.
