This 40-volt cordless plunge saw is built for straight, clean cuts in sheet goods and other materials, especially when paired with a Makita Guide Rail (#66072 or #58596, sold separately). Its brushless motor runs from 2,500 to 4,900 RPM, while Automatic Speed Change adjusts cutting speed and torque under load. A built-in depth stop, rigid bevel supports and a -1° to 48° bevel range help support accurate cuts, and AWS capability can wirelessly trigger a compatible Makita dust extractor when the optional transmitter is installed.
The Makita Rapid Optimum Charger is a smart-charging system that communicates with the battery during the charging process to monitor current, voltage and temperature. This advanced charging technology helps optimize battery life and deliver a faster charge. In addition, the Charger has a built-in fan to cool the battery for faster and more efficient charging, even in hot weather conditions.
