Known also as Curupay, Patagonian Rosewood is a South American hardwood that exhibits a wide range of striking colors, predominantly pale to medium brown, often with attractive bands of reddish brown, dark brown and black. The grain has a fine, even texture and a natural luster that ensures a fine polish. Though it is dense and hard, it turns well on the lathe.
WARNING: Drilling, sawing, sanding or machining wood products can expose you to wood dust, a substance known to the State of California to cause cancer. Avoid inhaling wood dust or use a dust mask or other safeguards for personal protection. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/wood.
