Engineered for production environments equipped with three-phase power, the 209BHH-3 Planer combines a 5HP motor with a 20'' cutting width and 8'' maximum board thickness capacity. It ships wired for 230V and can be field-converted to 460V for compatible shop electrical systems. Its four-row helical cutterhead carries 68 four-sided carbide inserts for convenient individual insert rotation when they nick or dull. It spins at 5,200 RPM for a smooth finish with reduced noise. A built-in digital readout supports repeatable thickness settings, while selectable 16 and 28 FPM feed rates let operators choose between smoother surfaces or faster feed rate. Solid cast iron tables and a 4'' bi-directional dust port support stable planing and effective chip management.
