Rikon VSR Midi Lathe 70-1420VSR, 14'' x 20'', 1.5HP

With its extended swing over bed and 20'' distance between centers, this electronic variable-speed lathe is the largest benchtop option in Rikon's tool line. Three machined surfaces on the bed let you increase the lathe's turning capacity even more by adding accessories. Use the headstock's outboard threaded spindle and optional 13-1/2'' Bed Extension (Rikon 70-903, sold separately) to add 4'' of turning-diameter capacity. Mount this same extension to the front of the lathe bed to turn the outside edges or backs of larger bowls and platters. The right end of the bed is machined to attach up to a 24'' Bed Extension (Rikon 70-901, sold separately), for increasing the working distance between centers to 44''.
