Packaged without a chuck insert, jaw set or any other accessories, this Rikon Z4 Lathe Chuck is helpful for woodturners with full-size lathes who already have another Rikon Z4 chuck and want a second chuck that can be set up with alternative jaw styles for fast changing between projects. It requires your choice of a threaded chuck insert (sold separately) before it can be mounted on a lathe.

This hefty four-jaw, self-centering chuck is CNC precision-made with geared jaws for easy operation and excellent project holding power. Its improved sliders give added strength for attaching a variety of available jaw sets. The meticulously machined body and internal gearing system operate flawlessly for smooth and reliable opening and closing. Its insert-type design lets you adapt the chuck to lathes with different headstock spindle thread patterns by simply changing the chuck insert.
