Robert Sorby #827C External Shear Scraper Replacement Blade

The Robert Sorby External Shear Scraper Cutter is a square cutter with a slight radius on the sides, and is designed for use with the Robert Sorby Shear Scraper Handle #827H External Shear Scraper and #826H Internal Shear Scraper (#43794 and #43702, sold separately). Once installed on the handle, it scrapes at the optimal shear angle of 45° for a superior finish on any outside curve. Use it for smoothing the exteriors of bowls, vases, goblets, spindle turnings and more. The cutter can be rotated to maximize its useful life, and is easily sharpened by drawing a diamond file or honing stone across the top face. For the greatest longevity, honing should be done often, and in short spells.
