Whether you're laying out dovetails, setting the tilt angle of your table saw blade or transferring an important angle from one workpiece to the next, a bevel gauge is a wonderfully simple, indispensable tool. Just swivel the steel blade to the angle you need, using a protractor or other known angle as the reference. Then tighten the thumbscrew at the end of the tool body to lock the blade angle securely. When you're finished, simply unlock the blade, rotate the angled end back into its slot in the body and tighten the thumbscrew again for compact, protected storage.
