Rockler Clamp-It Assembly Square

Our award-winning black Clamp-It Assembly Squares have earned their keep in your shops for many years. But even these enormously popular clamping accessories can be made better with Rockler know-how! That's why we've redesigned this shop stalwart with features you'll love. Our updated Clamp-It Assembly Square still offers perfect squareness, rugged construction, relief corners and screw attachment points. But we've added four docking slots and a pair of positioning clips to make its installation easier on complex assemblies or when you're working alone. The gray clips engage in the docking slots so you can hang the square from the edges of either 1/2'' or 3/4'' material. These docking slots also fit the heads of our dedicated Clamp-it Trigger Clamps and Power Jaw Clamps (#75311 and #63965, both sold separately). That way, the assembly square holds a pair of clamps at the ready, so corner joints are easy to cinch tight with one hand.

If you build cabinetry and other tall assemblies, you'll appreciate the pairs of holes we've added to fit 5/16'' threaded rods (not included). Just run a pair of long rods through several squares and position them on the rods with washers and nuts. That lets you stage the squares where they're needed most along an assembly for clamping, without having to hold them in place by hand. Even better, snap the positioning clips to the underside of each square, and they'll keep band clamp straps from falling while they're being positioned and tightened.

• Docking holes also fit round bars of our Universal Fence Clamps and Quick-Release Multi Clamps (#75668 and #68612, both sold separately) as well as T-bolts
• Positioning clips can be mounted to the underside of square for hanging band clamp straps
• Notches and predrilled holes for #8 screws let you mount assembly square either flat or standing up—great for building jigs and other right-angle assembly fixtures
• Can be used on either the inside or outside of a corner—handy for assembling drawers with lipped fronts
• Positioning clips lock assembly squares together conveniently for storage
