The synthetic scrubby fibers absorb just enough oil for smooth spreading, but eliminate the waste that would result from a rag or cloth. The fibers rub the oil into the grain for an excellent bond and even sheen. The handle keeps your fingers clean throughout the process, and is easily interchanged between pads as they wear out.
