Tormek SVD-186R Gouge Jig

Designed to be used with Tormek's water-cooled sharpening systems, the patented Tormek SVD-186R is capable of shaping and sharpening a wide range of fingernail-shaped turning gouges and woodcarving tools, including curved gouges, V-tools, back bent and down bent gouges. Thanks to easy, repeatable settings, you get full control over the shape and angle of the grind. The end result is a finely honed and polished edge that cuts with little effort, and requires little sanding. And thanks to the indexed markings on the sharpening jig, a side-mounted lock knob and an included pen and set of ''recipe labels'' that you can adhere to your tools, it's easy to reproduce the exact same settings when the time comes to sharpen again. With such precision, you need only remove a tiny fraction of the steel, resulting in far greater life for your tools.
