Leopardwood exhibits a warm, reddish-brown color with a distinctively flecked grain pattern that recalls the spots of a leopard. This figure is most pronounced on quartersawn faces. Leopardwood is straight-grained with medium-coarse texture and takes a fine finish. Though dense, with sharp tools, it turns beautifully.
