They are made of M2 high-speed steel and cryogenically treated to resist extreme heat and retain sharpness, so you'll be able to turn spindles and other workpieces between centers for longer periods of time before resharpening. The 14mm shaft end fits into the collet chuck of the 16'' handle that comes with the Woodturning System.
