As easy to use as it is precise, this gauge will help you dial in the heights or depths of bits and blades when it's set on a tool table and used vertically. Or lay the gauge on its side for measuring horizontal distances, such as the span between a fence and a bit or blade. To set the gauge, simply loosen the knurled brass tightening wheel and raise or lower its extended reference fence, then retighten the wheel. Micro-detents along the gauge's measurement scale engage with a second rack of detents on the fence, to adjust the fence in increments as small as 1mm. Its laser-etched markings are easy to read. The Small Gauge (#71333) has a maximum travel of 54mm, while the Large Gauge (#77279) extends up to 90mm.
