A geared drivetrain and two variable speeds ranging from 150 to 3600 RPM give the Powermatic PM2820EVS versatility not found in competing drill presses. Whether you use the low- or the high-speed range, the electronic variable speed ensures that no torque is lost. The PM2820EVS features one of the most versatile tables on the market, measuring a full 20-1/2'' x 15-1/2'' in size, with a large removable cast iron insert that lets you drill tall, bulky workpieces by feeding them through the bottom of the table. The table tilts left and right a full 90°, useful for drilling at extreme angles, and also for drilling into the end grain of long stock. The high-visibility laser pinpoints the exact drilling location, while the included fence and stop make production drilling ultra-efficient. Handles can be installed on the left or right according to your preference. Integrated LED light reduces shadows for optimal visibility.
